Introduction
A subscription gives you the ability use this web app with your own libary. It also gives you access to support and help with using the app. You may also (depending on your subscription tier) be able to make priority requests for new features. Please see our pricing page for more information.
Starting your Subscription
To subscribe to use the app, visit our pricing page and select your pricing tier. You will be redirected to complete your transaction via Stripe (who handle all card payments). Once completed, you will receive a welcome email and a link to get you started!
If you are subscribing as an organisation, you will also be asked to supply the domain name that your organisation uses with G-Suite. This is typically the part of your primary email address (that you use to sign in to Google) after the ‘@’ sign. We use this information to ensure that your users are given access to your library. If you use multiple domains and aliases for your users, then enter your main one and then get in touch with us so we can add further domains for you as required. Likewise, if you need to restrict access to a subset of your users, let us know and we will see what we can do! You will find a button to contact us on your subscription page.
Managing your Subscription
In your welcome email, you will receive a link to allow you to create your loan and management spreadsheet. This is a Google Sheet that lives in your Google Drive, and is created automatically for you. Once created, you can move it to a shared drive if you wish! The sheet acts as a repository for loan and request information, and also as a gateway to your Calibre library files. Even if you are not operating a loan system in your library, you will still need this sheet!
Periodically, the code behind this sheet will need to be updated (as we release new features). When new updates are available, you will see these on your subscription page. Upgrading is just a really simple single click process, and will not impact your existing data at all!
Managing your Library
As an admin of your library, you will have access to the library settings. You can configure this to provide information to your users about what sort of items are in your library, whether loans and other features (such as requests) are available. You can also specify (by username) a list of library managers who will have access to the library management page, and the ability to log loans and returns.
Cancelling your Subscription
Subscriptions are automatically renewed according to the schedule that you subscribed to (either monthly or yearly). You can cancel your subscription before your renewal date by informing us via your subscription page. You will be still be able to use the app until the end of your current subscription period. Once your subscription has expired, you will retain access to your library & loans/returns sheet (as it is yours!). If you wish to subscribe again in the future, you will be able to use the existing data sheet, or create a new one if you prefer.
